Just a few weeks ago it was announced that Coronation Street stars Lucy-Jo Hudson and husband Alan Halsall were splitting up after “many wonderful years together”.
But more recently, Lucy, who is currently starring in BBC soap Doctors, was hit by rumours that she and Andy Moss were forming a close relationship.
Andy – best known for playing Rhys Ashworth in Hollyoaks – is currently starring alongside Lucy in Doctors, and took to Twitter to share a picture of the pair on set back in February.
And then a few days later tweeted: “The only thing keeping me sane on this ridiculous train journey is the fact I get to work with my new TV bae [Lucy-Jo] in the morning”.
To which Lucy replied, “Aw Andy, Thankyou. Safe Journey. Looking forward to another “emotional” day”.
The tweets sparked the rumours of the pair’s close relationship, and Lucy-Jo addressed the ‘hurtful’ comments on Loose Women that she used Andy’s shoulder to cry on.
"It's just absolute nonsense. The only time I've been crying on his shoulder was when I was filming,” she explained.
"Andy only knew about me and Al separating like everybody else when we announced it, which we didn't want to but part of the world we live in we had to do."
Speaking about her relationship with Andy, Lucy said: "He's a brilliant actor and we work well together and that's it really."
After confirming their split earlier in the year, Lucy explained how her and soon-to-be ex-husband are managing to co-parent their daughter Sienna, who was born in 2013.
"We're so amicable, we get on and we speak every day and he comes round for a brew. We're maintaining as mummy and daddy while we move forward,” Lucy told the Loose Women panel.
