Lucy-Jo Hudson has broken her silence on her 'feud' with ex-husband Alan Halsall after he seemingly threw shade on Instagram earlier this year.

Coronation Street stars Lucy-Jo and Alan split in 2018 after nine years of marriage. While Alan is now in a relationship with his former co-star Tisha Merry, Lucy-Jo recently welcomed her son into the world with her partner Lewis Devine.

However, it appears that things aren't peachy between Alan and Lucy-Jo who co-parent their daughter Sienna, and it all kicked off when Lewis announced the birth of his and Lucy-Jo's son.

On Instagram he wrote, "Our Sienna is delighted and is already making the best big sister, just like I knew she would!"

Gary is surprised to learn that Kelly was kicked out of her private school when her dad Rick's money stopped coming in and her mum owed thousands in missed fees.

Alan hit back and wrote on his Instagram Story, "You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one & call her your own! But not my daughter."

And now Lucy has spoken out about their feud and suggested that her ex-husband "regretted" his cryptic post on social media.

"I had literally just given birth to Carter when he posted that so I didn’t see it and my head was elsewhere. He quickly deleted it so he must have regretted it."

She went on to reveal that she didn't "bother" bringing it up with her ex and Lewis went on to insist, "We didn’t actually have a fall out about it – that was just press speculation."

Lucy-Jo went on to say that all "blended families" are aware that co-parenting is not an easy task.

"Me and Alan sometimes have different views on raising Sienna so trying to co-parent can be challenging. It’s probably like that for a lot of blended families," she added to OK! magazine.

"But Lewis and I try to keep things like that very private. Sienna isn’t aware of what happened and all that matters is that she has loving parents on both sides."
