Lucy Fallon has been spotted flogging her clothes on Depop as she struggles to find work after quitting Coronation Street earlier this year.
The actress played Bethany Platt for five years and most recently was involved in a troubling storyline where her character grew romantically close to Dan Osbourne, who had just lost his wife, Sinead Tinker, to cancer.
Bethany moved away to pursue a career in journalism in March, and since then Lucy explains that work offers have dried up due to the current climate – and she’s been forced to sell her own clothes to make ends meet.
“Selling lots of tings on my depop. Swipe up to have a nosey xxxx,” she wrote on Instagram, and previewed a number of glamorous garms.

Speaking of her lack of work, Lucy said, “It was really difficult to make the decision to leave, but I’d been there for five years and it was all I’d ever known.
“But obviously Covid-19 has thrown it all up in the air now. As I left, work was starting to pick up and take off and now everything has stopped. But I do know there are loads of people in much worse situations than me and I’ve been very lucky."

Speaking to The Sun, she added, “I’m trying to stay positive about it, but it’s obviously a bit sad having nothing to do.”
Lucy was one of a number of Corrie favourites to announce they were quitting the soap in 2019, making the announcement all the way back in May that she was headed for pastures new.
“After the most incredible four years, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave Coronation Street at the end of my contract in 2020,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.
"It's hard to put into words how much this show means to me. I've made lifelong friends with some of the most talented people in the industry, I've had some terrific and immensely important storylines and I've laughed with the best people every day.”
