If you’re an animal lover, you might have considered a career working with some of your favourite furry friends. And every now and then, some really amazing jobs crop up – like this position for someone who wants to spend all day cuddling pandas!

But another role has come to our attention, and if you’re as much of a pug-lover as we are then you’ll definitely want to apply.

Did you know that the adorable little pooches are celebrated every year at a festival called PugFest? The annual pug event encourages pug owners from all over the country to come together, and it is an absolute dream for anyone who can’t get enough of them. The festival comes complete with a pug red carpet, a pug agility course and plenty of dog-friendly treats.

It also boasts a kissing booth for pugs to meet up get better acquainted!

If you don’t have your own pug pal, fear not. PugFest is looking for volunteers to help out on the day, so if you feel like being surrounded by your favourite pooch this is your chance.

The website says: “We like to have vibrant and enthusiastic people to help us with all kinds of activities at the events.

“All volunteers must be over 18 and have an up to date CRB/DBS. Please also include the events you would like to participate in.

“So if you would like to take part in our events as a volunteer please get in contact we would love to hear from you.”

Does hanging out with pugs all day sound like your idea of heaven? If you can make your way to Media City Manchester then you’re also going to want to keep Sunday 16 July free to give the festival a helping hand.
