The romance between Love Island stars Lucie Donlan and Joe Garratt has been a bit of a whirlwind from the start, and now it looks like it's taken another turn...

After coupling up from the start, Joe was accused of being 'controlling' towards Lucie, before he was dumped and Lucie tried her best to crack on with Tommy Fury.

After Tommy pied the surfer in favour of Molly-Mae Hague, Lucie brought back George Rains from Casa Amor, before brutally dumping him alongside Maura Higgins a few days later.

THEN, when Lucie left the villa, she reunited with Joe for Love Island: Aftersun, but the pair admitted they were just friends, with no romantic connections.

However, it looks like the pair are giving their relationship another go, as they were spotted holding hands during a dinner date in Newquay over the weekend. The pair looked happier than ever as they enjoyed their date, which is nice.

The new snaps come just weeks after Lucie took Joe to meet her family in her hometown of Cornwall, with Lucie's sister Emily posting videos on her Instagram Story.

Meanwhile, after seeming smitten with Lucie during his time in the villa, many questioned why Joe didn't ask Lucie to leave the villa with him when he was dumped.

Speaking about the matter at the time, Joe said, "We both applied for a great experience and the summer of a lifetime and we had that. We had such a great time together. When I went, I wanted her to get the best experience and that was a fact for me, I wanted her to have a great time and stuff."

He added, "If I was controlling in the slightest I would have asked her to come. But I reassured her and said that I’ll still be waiting on the outside. Hopefully we’ll reunite on the outside."

So, although the new snaps of the pair holding hands certainly look like things are back on, Joe or Lucie are yet to confirm their relationship status.
