Viewers were in stitches after spotting Gail Platt's doppelgänger in the Love Island villa
In last night's episode, family members came into the villa for 'parent's day' and caused quite a stir. Alexandra Cane's mum gave Dr Alex George a good grilling for dumping her daughter, and Danny Dyer made super fan Jack Fincham's dreams come true via video call.
But Wes Nelson's lovely mum made us do a double take, as she is the spitting image of Coronation Street stalwart Gail Platt. Fans were obsessed with the likeness and quickly took to Twitter.
One fan asked: "Why didn’t Wes mention his Mum was Gail Platt 🤣#loveisland"
Another said: "Anyone else think Wes’ Mum is secretly Gail Platt?!...🤔😂#Loveisland #Corrie"
And another threw Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway into the mix: "Wes’ mum is Gail Platt’s and Kate Garraway’s love child #loveisland"
We have to admit that the comparison is uncanny! But they're not the only twinnies this year's show has thrown up.
