The pair ended their marriage in court earlier today in London

The 19-year marriage of Jamie and Louise Redknapp officially came to an end during a Central Family Court hearing in London earlier today - which lasted just 25 SECONDS.

Neither Louise or Jamie were present at the hearing, but it is claimed that the judge deemed Jamie's previous behaviour so bad that his wife could 'no longer be expected' to live with him, and that the marriage had 'broken down irretrievably'.

The judge issued the pair with a decree nisi - the first stage of a divorce. Any divorcing couple can apply for a decree absolute, which formally ends a marriage, just 6 weeks after this is granted.

The pair wed on a luxury yacht in Bermuda in 1998, just two years after they started dating in 1996. They had two sons together - Charlie, 13, and Beau, 9.

Previously, Louise admitted to *Hello! *that Jamie was the stricter parent of the two of them, saying; "He's much more strict than I am. I'll do anything for an easy life. He's brilliant, I have to say. If they want new football boots, they have to earn them".

The couple were even once voted as runners-up in a poll to nominate the most 'perfect couple'. At the time, Louise told *Red Magazine *"I know there's a perception that Jamie and I have the perfect marriage, but we have our ups and downs".

She continued; "It worries me that if one day anything were to happen, it would hit us really hard, because we've got this image of perfection to live up to".
