Coleen Nolan and the other Loose Women were discussing a recent court case in Ireland, which saw a bakery taken to court and found guilty of discrimination for refusing to make a gay marriage cake.
However Shane Richie’s ex-wife surprisingly spoke out in support of the bakery - and left viewers appalled when she argued that it would be no different to forcing the company to fulfil an order for a cake supporting the Islamic State (Isis) militant group.
She said: "At the end of the day, if you went in there and two days later they said ‘we don’t want to make your cakes because of our beliefs’, you’d just never go back to that shop and you’d probably say to all your gay friends, ‘don’t go there, they’re anti-gay,’ and boycott it."
Coleen continued: “What about if somebody walked in and said I want a cake and I want the whole Islamic State on it and how I support it and how I support them killing our people.
“Because it's a business, do they have to make it? And if they turn around and say they're not making it, we'd all applaud it."
Furious viewers immediately took to Twitter to slam Coleen, calling for her to be sacked from the show - or, at the very least, issue a public apology.
Even Katie Hopkins, one of the nation's most controversial figures, was quick to slam Coleen for her remarks - although she couldn't stop herself from a little trademark fat-shaming as she did so.
She wrote: "Sorry to see @NolanColeen being slated in the press *kills herself laughing at chubsters downfall'.
"Gay rights are not the same as ISIS love."
Coleen previously sparked outrage on the show back in 200, when she admitted that she did not agree with gay adoption.
“There is only so much I’m willing to accept,” she said at the time.
Neither Coleen or Loose Women’s producers have commented on the situation.
