Speaking to fellow Loose Women panellists, Saira Khan opened up about sex and how she is no longer interested in getting jiggy with her husband, Steve Hyde.
Saira and Steve have been married for 11 years, but the presenter admitted: “We used to have a fantastic sex life. I still love my husband, we cuddle up and it’s lovely.
“We’ve been together for 11 years, but I’m not interested [in sex]. I don’t want to.”
The 46 year old, says that she has a very busy life and two kids, which she feels “lucky” to have, but just doesn’t want a sexual relationship with Steve.
Saira admitted: “The other day, I was dressed up to go out and he told me I looked nice and I was like, 'thanks!', and ran out of the door.”
The former Apprentice star then sensationally admitted that she's given Steve permission to sleep with someone else, in a bid to keep him happy.
“I’m embarrassed to say this but I said to him you can go with someone else if you want,” she confessed.
“I want to make him happy. He’ll kill me for saying this…
"Am I the only one?”
Panellists Coleen Nolan reassured Saira that she also found it difficult to “get in the mood” sometimes, but joked that she did it “three times” on her wedding and remembers because it was the “last time [they] did it”.
And Saira’s honest confession sparked many positive comments on Twitter, with other women agreeing with her.
One said: “I hear you sister! #loosewomen thanks for your honesty and candid discussion today on this sensitive subject.”
“You were very brave today, being so frank and honest. In the same boat, as are thousands of others,” another added.
One then said: “I know exactly where your coming from and brilliant that you were so open about it.”
Overwhelmed by support, Saira tweeted: “Wow ladies - so many of you out there feel like me I'm not alone. Thank you for all your lovely lovely messages today regarding the sex topic - I really appreciate it!! Xx”
