Katie, 38, took to Twitter to discuss the girls’ performance on Sunday night’s X Factor.
She said: “Packet Mix still got a chubber in their ranks. Less Little Mix. More Pick n Mix.”
Fans of the band responded to the comment immediately, with Katie tweeting: “Little Mix have got some fans. Iccle angry girlie ones with rebellious piercings. And long socks.”
And the girls’ have since responded to her less-than-pleasant remark.
Jade Thirwall said: “I just think she is a really bad person. I think it’s really sad that she has to find some kind of limelight by slating everyone else.”
Katie has hit the headlines before for making other outrageous comments. She claims that she judges children on what names they have and that obese children have only their parents to blame.
Jade said: “She wouldn’t have a job if she wasn’t horrible about people and I find that really sad. Can’t she just get a normal job and be nice about people.”
Katie caused further outrage this week when she tweeted jokes about Paralympian Tanni Grey-Thompson.
She posted: “Tanni Grey-Thompson. Go I wish there were some carpet tacks lying about between her and the BBC studios.”
11- time Paralympic gold medalist Tanni had appeared on BBC Radio2 to discuss ‘what makes us human’.
