Heads up, Ant McPartlin: hell hath no fury like a Lisa Armstrong sacked.
They may now be officially divorced, but things are still as bitter as ever between the former couple, and it looks like the new year promises little hope of respite. The reason, we’re told, is that Lisa, 42, is still fuming about the rumours she's being axed from her job at Britain’s Got Talent to make way for her ex-husband’s triumphant return to filming.
But she's not about to slink off quietly without sticking up for herself – not when she has the option for revenge.
According to insiders close to the hair and make-up artist, who worked on the talent show for years before being fired last month, Lisa’s not taking the news lightly, and is preparing for a 2019 full of sass and getting her own back– starting with a glitzy new career in LA.
“Ant is said to have stipulated to ITV bosses that there was no way he was going to return if she was still there – and Lisa is aware of these claims,” our source reveals.

"If it's true that they were afraid of tension with her and Ant working closely and so axed her, she could have a strong case which could see her get a payout.
"Lisa wants her revenge and, if anything, losing her job has made her more determined to hit back. She's looking at opportunities in LA as well, and despite the large settlement that may be coming her way, she’s told Ant that she’s sticking around in the entertainment world for as long time to come.”
