She shared a cryptic post on Instagram about being “healed” earlier this month, hinting that she’s moved on from past heartache. And now Closer can reveal that Lisa Armstrong has been enjoying a new romance – but she’s keeping things on the down-low for now.
Following the Strictly make-up artist's public split from boyfriend James Green last August after three years together, sources say that Lisa, 47, has found love again, but wants to take things slow.
An insider says, “Lisa has met someone but it’s early days. She doesn’t want to make the same mistake as she did before, which was to blast it all over her socials – she wants to keep things under wraps for at least six months before she goes public. He’s handsome, professional and likes to keep a low profile – which is perfect for Lisa right now.
“She was given some great advice recently which was basically, whatever makes you happy, make sure you don’t publicise it. It really hit home, because one of the hardest parts of getting over James was looking over all the happy moments she had shared publicly with her followers.
“So now she wants to hold back. She’s told pals that even if this new romance does last the distance, she doesn’t want to broadcast it to everyone because it’s no one’s business.”
And, after her messy 2018 divorce from Ant McPartlin, who is now married to his former PA Anne-Marie Corbett, Lisa has well and truly moved on from that chapter of her life.
“She’s not bothered about rubbing Ant's face in it, she’s over all of that,” our source continues. “She knows Ant has moved on with Anne-Marie and they have a whole new family together.
“It doesn’t make her feel bitter or angry, she’s just got to a healthy place in her life where she feels what they do isn’t relevant to her. Lisa feels as though the less Ant knows about her personal life, the better.”
As Lisa looks to the future, Ant, 48, and Anne-Marie, 46 – who tied the knot in 2021 – have been enjoying their baby bubble after welcoming son Wilder in May. And last week – which would have marked Lisa and Ant’s 18th wedding anniversary – the couple jetted off to Portugal for their first holiday as a family of three.
