Lisa Armstrong made her return to TV earlier this month, giving an interview on Strictly’s spin-off show, It Takes Two, in one of her first public appearances following her divorce from Ant McPartlin in 2018.
And while make-up artist Lisa, 48, seems more confident than ever, a source says there is an old pal of hers and Ant’s who has put the smile back on her face.
The source tells Closer, ‘Lisa’s finally coming out of a very dark place thanks to a new romance which is making her glow from the inside out.
‘She’s dating an old friend, and while she doesn’t want to repeat past mistakes by rushing things, they’re very committed to each other and are making plans to spend Christmas together.’
Lisa has been unlucky in love following her split from Ant, also 48, who she was married to for 22 years.
She started dating electrician James Green, 40, in 2020, and moved him into her home within the year.
But James blindsided Lisa in August 2023 when he moved his belongings out of the house. Legal drama ensued, with Lisa reportedly threatening to take James to court over £100,000 he allegedly owed her – something he neither confirmed nor denied and which has not been reported on further.
And now, after Ant flew out solo to Australia for the latest series of I’m A Celeb! – leaving behind wife Anne-Marie and their baby son Wilder – the source says Lisa is finally letting go of the past.
They tell Closer, ‘After getting to know each other again and realising the spark that was there, she has fallen for him in a way she never expected – especially after being so badly burned over the last few years.
‘She’s blissfully happy right now and has got her spark back after being to hell and back. She’s determined to focus on the future and her happily ever after.’
