Sometimes we all need to escape our lives and relax in the sun with a Sex On The Beach in hand. And that’s just what Lisa Armstrong has been doing. The make-up artist was pictured enjoying a girls’ holiday in Ibiza last week, and is said to have been there to celebrate her niece’s 21st birthday.
The 42 year old is still in the midst of divorce proceedings from ex-husband Ant McPartlin – the couple have been granted the first part of their divorce, but are still in negotiations over dividing their finances – and clearly decided to party her troubles away. Lisa was seen relaxing with friends, indulging in traditional Ibizan activities like getting a £15 braid in her hair, and knocking back £5 cocktails.
However, after a year of strife, an onlooker said Lisa didn’t seem to be the life and soul of the party. We’re told, “She seemed a bit glum and distracted. Although she was with a group of girlfriends who were all laughing, joking and having a good time, Lisa seemed to have a lot on her mind. She kept checking her phone and looked a bit fed up. But, after a while, her mood lifted and you could see her smiling and enjoying herself.”

We're cheating here slightly, but said pal Declan's since been cast as Charlie Cotton in EastEnders. Bit of a tenuous link, but interesting nonetheless.

Lisa certainly seemed to be having a good time when she posted multiple Instagram pictures of her pals, with captions including, “Here’s to holidays with besties” and “Friends that school together, stay cool together”.

Back at home, she has been dealing with ongoing heartache after Ant and his new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett moved into a new family home together, along with her two children. Ant and Lisa are also still reportedly battling over who will have custody of their beloved chocolate Labrador, Hurley.
And with Lisa now hard at work until the end of the year on Strictly Come Dancing, where she works as head of make-up, it’s no wonder she wanted to let her hair down and enjoy cocktails with her girls.
A source spoke of her resilience throughout this year. “She’s had one thing after another, but you’ve got to hand it to her – she’s determined not to be defeated by all that’s happened. Hopefully, Ibiza will help her make a fresh start, so she can get on with her life and finally put the divorce matter to bed.
