Lisa Armstrong has endured the ultimate betrayal by telly bosses
Following news that Ant McPartlin will return to our screens on next year's Britain's Got Talent, reports emerged that his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong has been sacked from the show.
To rub salt in the wound, reports now suggest that she was FRIENDS with the bosses who cut her. In fact, among them is one of the executive producers, whose wedding Lisa attended.
What a double blow - is it any wonder that the mega make-up artist is said to be furious?
According to the Mirror Online, a source revealed: "Lisa is spitting feathers at being axed - she's part of the BGT family and loved working there for over 10 years.
"For her to be cut off after so long is gutting.
"She's had a lot of input into BGT that viewers never got to see, like supplying props for games with Ant and Dec and doing lots more behind the scenes."
Lisa had worked on the ITV talent show for 12 years in the hair and make-up department, while married to presenter Ant. They separated earlier in the year after Ant was charged for driving while under the influence of alcohol and their 'quickie' divorce was finalised last month.
Lisa has also made her frustration at her 'friends' known on social media. In one tweet, she replied to a pal: "I know babe, gutted after 12 years x"
She also retweeted messages that called the bosses' decision "unfair" and "ridiculous".
