Lily, 28, is insisting it’s a tribute to the eccentric rapper – whose latest album was titled ‘Yeezus’ – not a joke.

She told a UK newspaper: “With all my albums, I’ve just wanted to have a laugh. But yes, Sheezus, it’s bold. But it’s not taking the p*** out of Kanyeat all.

“I’ve got nothing but respect for him. I love him, so it is a little homage to him. I hope he doesn’t think it’s a diss. I’d be horrified if he thought that.”

Lily also took the time to defend Kanye’s controversial ways, saying: “I know people think he’s crazy but most of what he says I think makes total sense. I mean there are a few exceptions but on the whole.

“He is one of the only people who says what he believes and people call him mad for it.”

Mum-of-two Lily took to Twitter shortly after the album name announcement to confirm that her title choice was not a joke.

Lily is preparing to release her first album since 2009, after taking a break to have children Ethel and Marnie Rose.

She recently said that she is expecting some people to find things about the album that they don’t like, saying: “When you put something out there, people want to write about it.

“They want hits, they want American Apparel to advertise on their blog. So, yeah, I’m sure people will find things to get angry about on the record.”
