The former Liberty X singer is just a month away from welcoming the new baby, and cricketer Kevin, 35, revealed their happy news during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.
Host Piers Morgan later took to Twitter to send his well-wishes, writing: “Kevin Pietersen’s going to be a dad again, as exclusively revealed just now on @GMB. Congrats to him and his lovely wife @JessicaLibertyX! [sic].”
Kevin and Jessica are already parents to five-year-old son Dylan, and they married in a winter-wonderland themed ceremony on 29 December 2007.
In 2009, Jessica gushed over her husband and revealed she’d have no problem putting her career on hold to focus on their growing family.
She told MailOnline: “We sparked immediately. I completely clicked with him. I was totally comfortable in his company, absolutely myself. He makes me feel safe. He makes me laugh. He’s my partner. He’s everything to me.”
Jessica added: “We’re both extremely family-orientated. It’s all about the connection we both feel. I’m a homebody and so is Kevin. Since we’ve been together, there’s nothing we like better than to stay in and have a home-cooked meal.
“If I had to put my professional life on hold because of motherhood, then, yes, thats what I’d do. Children have to come first.”
