During a radio interview, Lee admitted that he had been subjected to death threats since leaving the house and that management wants him to hire security.
Lee, 30, said: “I feel like I’ve murdered someone, I’ve had that much hate.”
Then, during an interview on This Morning today, Lee tried to defend getting close to both Jasmine Waltz and Casey Batchelor during his time in the house.
When asked by host Phillip Schofield, ‘What the hell were you doing?’ Lee replied: “I thought I was being sensible. It’s hard to watch but I did have these genuine feelings for Jasmine.
“With Casey, I just wanted to be here mate. I had just never met a girl like that who I got on so well with. She even said the same.”
But co-host Holly Willoughby made a good point, saying: “But if you want someone to be your friend you probably don’t kiss them!”
However Lee continued to defend his actions, saying: “A lot of things get me into trouble. I don’t think before I speak and I am the first person to say that. I literally go by my emotions.
“What I felt for Jasmine wasn’t made up. We had this connection with each other. I went in thinking I was a single guy who could mess around and Casey understands that.
“Then I met someone who I really liked and I tried to tell Casey and she didn’t want to hear it, if I’m honest.”
Talking about the reception he’s received since exiting the house, Lee said he feels like ‘I murdered someone or done something to small kittens or small dogs’ and that ‘the treatment I am getting is way over the top.’
