Excitement has been building for the upcoming Gold Stars vs New Stars edition of Celebrity Big Brother this January.

And now we have another reason to look forward to the Channel 5 reality show, after bonkers former housemate Lauren Harries made a pretty big hint that she will be taking part.

The series is rumoured to feature a host of veteran CBB celebrities alongside a group of new faces.

Following rumours circulating that Lauren, 38, will be one of the ‘Gold Stars’ taking part, her rep told the Mail Online: “All she can say is that she shall be meeting some interesting people at Elstree on the 2nd of January.”

On Thursday morning, the former child star posted a snap of herself wearing a Big Brother-style eye ring, alongside the caption: “Night night love you xxxx.”

The star also showed off a new brunette hairdo in another Twitter post, as she posed in a pink swimsuit.

And just last week she gave another big hint that she will be appearing in the famous compound, after posting a selfie with Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side host, Rylan Clark-Neal.

Meanwhile, Malika Haqq, Bianca Gascoigne, Danielle Armstrong, Sam Thompson and X Factor duo Bratavio are said to be among the ‘New Stars’ taking part in the show, which returns on 3 January.

Lauren entertained viewers back in 2013, where she came third behind Abz Love and eventual winner Charlotte Crosby.

The star was born James Harries and first found fame as a child prodigy on BBC show Wogan, where she valued precious antiques.

Lauren had gender reassignment surgery to become a woman in 2004, and has since made appearances on shows like This Morning, to talk about antiques.

She went on to release a single, All Dressed Up, which she wrote in the house about the fling she claims she once had with Russell Brand – something he denies.
