Lauren, 27 has told a UK magazine that she is ‘back feeling strong’ following her bizarre rant on social media after seeing unflattering pictures of herself from the Soap Awards.

In a stream of angry tweets, the former TOWIE star said she felt ‘humiliated’ by paparazzi photos showing her looking ‘pregnant’ and vowed to become ‘the slimmest girls in the industry.’

She wrote: ‘Haven't eaten for 3 days not stopping until I get left the hell alone!

‘I don't think I look like they make out but I'm going to be so skinny!!’

Two weeks since the tweets were sent, Lauren has revealed what was going through her mind when she wrote them.

Admitting she was having a ‘meltdown’ at the time, she said: ‘I never usually retaliate or put anything about my feelings on Twitter, but I'd seen all the comments and I lost it. I'm a human being and I have feelings.’

And she reassured fans she wasn’t actually starving herself, she was on a juice diet.

‘I did a juicing detox so I didn't eat solid food for three days. I was starving but I wasn't actually starving myself,’ she clarified.

Lauren also explained she has come to realize that she would rather be curvy and healthy than skinny.

She said: ‘Look at Holly Willoughby, Kelly Brook. They dress for their figure, they're real girls and that's me. I'm not stick thin. I will get fit and I will look good but it's going to happen gradually, it's not going to happen overnight.

Lauren is now feeling more confident

‘I'm a young girl, I want to feel sexy. It's not about being skinny, it's about being comfortable in who you are.

‘I want to be a healthy size 8-10 and that's what I will be. I had a meltdown but I'm back feeling strong.’

The star – who admitted she has become obsessed with weighing herself - also revealed she has had first-hand experience of eating disorders in her family and won’t let herself go down the same route.

‘I never even used to own scales. Now I'm on the scales every day.’

The reality star added: ‘I've got a sister who was in The Priory for anorexia and I have to respect that. I don't want to go the wrong way and not eat.'
