Mark and Michelle, both 28, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony two weeks ago - and Lauren insists she felt sorry for them.

In the run up to the big day Lauren, who dated Mark on and off for 10 years, posted a series of cryptic messages on social media, which some took to be aimed at her ex.

Writing in her column for new! magazine, Lauren said: "It was their big day and I shouldn't have been dragged into it.

"No one wants their ex mentioned on their wedding day so I actually felt sorry for them."

Former TOWIE star Lauren also addressed allegations that James Argent was on stand by in case she crashed the wedding.

She continued: "What did they really expect him to do? And did they really think I'd turn up and beg Mark not to get married? Please!"

On the eve of Mark and Michelle's wedding, Lauren uploaded a quote to Instagram which read: "She's the kind of girl a guy meets when he's too young, and he's f***s up because there's too much living to do. But later he realised she's perfect."

Now friends have reportedly begged Lauren to stop posting suggesting messages, warning that she could end up scaring other men away.

A source told Closer: "[They've] told her that posting loaded messages on Instagram isn't a good idea as it could be seen as though she's trying to grab Mark's attention."
