Mark – who was on his last days of a two-week honeymoon with Michelle – Tweeted last week: ‘Endless mentions RE: me and us is embarrassing. It’s hurtful to think one person needs to mention YOU every week to earn a living. If your reading this, please PLEASE respect my wife and STOP’ [sic].

Mark’s outburst followed claims Lauren, who split with him in August 2011, mocked the newlyweds in a cryptic online post ahead of their wedding, reading: “She’s the kind of girl a guy meets when he’s too young, and he f***s up because there’s too much living to do. But later he realises she’s perfect.”

Lauren and Mark were notoriously on and off during their fiery ten year romance

And while a rep for Lauren seemed keen to quash the latest feud with Mark and Michelle, saying: “She once again wishes them nothing but the best” – pals say the star is seething over Mark’s Twitter attack, telling friends he needs to ‘get over’ her.

A source says: “She’s always insisted her posts have nothing to do with Mark and reckons he’s making her out to be a stalker. She says he needs therapy and told friends if he’s so happy married he shouldn’t be getting worked up over an ex."
