Taking to Twitter on the anniversary of Jade Goody’s death, Jack Tweed - who married the Big Brother star shortly before she died - paid an emotional tribute to his late wife.
Sharing a photograph of them on their wedding day, alongside two other intimate snaps, he wrote: “6 years gone miss you more each day.”
However, despite many sharing their sympathies with Jack, others were quick to hurl abuse at him.
One wrote: “Get a life, you useless waste of a human.”
Others added that he had never truly loved Jade - something which his friend Lauren Goodger has been quick to defend him against in her New! column.
She wrote: “Jack tweed posted pictures of his and Jade Goody’s wedding on the sixth anniversary of her death last week, which I thought was really sweet.
“Why shouldn’t he remember her?”
The former TOWIE star continued: “I don’t care what people say about him not loving Jade - he definitely did and I think he misses that connection he had with her.
“He goes out a lot and probably finds it hard to find a girl he can actually be with normally.”
Lauren, whom is close with Jack, added: “I went to school with Jack and he was also Mark’s best mate, so of course I went to their wedding.
“I can’t believe it’s been six years since she passed away - the time has flown by.”
