Lauren Goodger has received criticism for the Christmas present she bought her young niece.
The Only Way Is Essex star shared a video on Instagram of little Ellie unwrapping a Fendi handbag.
The designer purses don’t come cheap with prices starting at £150.
Ellie looked delighted with the gift, saying: “Oh, it’s nice!”
Lauren replied: “How pretty is it? It’s lovely. Have you got anything to put in it?”
However, some of Lauren’s followers were unimpressed with the reality star’s selection, claiming it was inappropriate for a child of Ellie’s age.
One fan commented: “Buying a child a designer bag?! Ridiculous! Looks like you only did it to show off though? Why else film it and put it on here!?”
Someone else wrote: “Silly to post something like this.”
But another person jumped to her defence, responding: “Never too young to be fabulous.”
