Is Lauren Goodger’s wedding dream coming true?

She made a not-so-subtle hint when she wore a white dress last week, a day after revealing she wants “marriage and a family” with boyfriend, Charles Drury. In a lengthy social media post, Lauren Goodger, 34, told her followers, “We fall in love with three people in our lifetime. Each one for a specific reason…”

The concluding sentence – which appeared to reference her 23-year-old toyboy, with whom she went public last October – read, “Third love: This one comes blindly. No warning. It creeps up on you silently. You don’t go looking for this love. It comes to you. You want marriage and family with them. You thank the universe for them. You truly love them.”

And an insider says the former TOWIE star has vowed not to let the pandemic further delay her much longed-for happy ever after, telling pals she’s planning to wed the builder later this year.

The source says, “Lauren’s always wanted a traditional, big, white wedding in a huge church, and she has already been looking at venues and dresses online as she plans the fairytale she’s been dreaming of since she was a little girl.

“They’ve both spoken about it and have agreed that after last year, they don’t want to waste any more time.

“While the pandemic has thrown a spanner into the works, she’s hoping they can have a huge do later on this year and tie the knot on her birthday weekend in September, making it a double celebration.

“She’s been ‘joking’, telling Charles what designs she likes for an engagement ring to ensure he gets it right!”

The former Celebs Go Dating star moved Charles into her Essex pad just three weeks after they began dating in October.

Since ending her engagement to childhood sweetheart Mark Wright in 2011, following a 12-year romance that began at the age of 15, their bitter split has continued to play-out in public. Mark even tweeted from his honeymoon with Michelle Keegan that Lauren should leave him and his wife alone after she spoke out about them in the lead-up to their wedding.

While Mark wed Michelle in 2015, Lauren’s life went from one ill-fated relationship to the next – dating “toxic” Jake McLean on and off from 2012 to 2016 and going on to “waste two years” of her life with prison inmate Joey Morrison before their split in 2019.

During her time with Joey, she confessed she was so desperate to get hitched, she was considering marrying the convict in prison and conceiving a baby while he was on day release.

In a wedding shoot for Closer in 2017, Lauren revealed how she had already dreamed up her outfit – “a slim-fitting and simple white gown with embellishment and lace”– and even described which make-up products she would use on the big day.

She added, “I can’t wait to get married. I want to keep the day really traditional with a church wedding and a beautiful reception, but would also love a celebration abroad on the beach with a live band, so maybe I will do both.”

The reality star has also made no secret of her desperation to have a baby, and last week Charles fuelled the fire that they could be expecting when he called her “Mami” on an Instagram snap.

Just six months before meeting her new man, Lauren told her Instagram followers, “If I had a boyfriend I’d def be preg by end of the week.” And shortly after her 30th birthday, she confessed, “I’ve been thinking today I can’t wait to have a baby, get some routine and married and happily ever after.”

Now pals say they wouldn’t be surprised if Lauren announces a pregnancy soon. The source says, “All Lauren wants is to become a mum and give up her party lifestyle for her dream family, and she’s told pals how Charles is ready too – joking at how their nuptials will hopefully be a shotgun wedding!

“While pals are worried she’s rushing into things and fear that, at just 23, Charles may  not be ready to settle down, she insists he’s more mature than any man she’s been with and says the lockdown is the perfect opportunity to start a family.”

Since shooting to fame in TOWIE in 2010 as a part of the original cast, Lauren has gone on to carve out a successful career as a TV personality – appearing in shows such as Dancing On Ice, Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating.

And pals say Lauren is now planning to cash-in on her relationship and turn her and Charles into the next big celeb power couple to rival her ex Mark and his wife, Michelle.

The source adds, “Lauren shot to fame as one half of TOWIE’s most legendary power couples and she wants to resurrect that now with Charles – and have the last laugh by stealing Mark and Michelle’s crown.

“She says Charles has the looks and charisma to become a huge star and she’s hoping to bag a reality show charting their wedding plans and baby journey, like her former co-stars Sam and Billie Faiers.

“Now she’s got everything she ever wanted, there’s no holding back and Lauren’s hellbent on making 2021 the year she finally gets her happily ever after.”
