Lamar Odom, 35, was rushed to hospital last week after he was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel called Love Ranch, where he’d been staying for four days.
Khloe Kardashian rushed to be by his side after he was airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital, with his odds of survival at 50/50.
However it has now been reported that Lamar is showing ‘miraculous’ signs of progress.
In an interview with USA Today, the sportsman’s former coach Jim Harrick opened up about the moment Lamar came around from his coma.
Explaining that he awoke to find Khloe, his former wife of four years, at his bedside, Jim added that Lamar and Khloe’s reunion had been a touching one.
“She reached down and said: 'You know I love you' and he kind of nodded," the coach said.
"Khloe has promised me she's going to stay by his bedside until she and him can walk out of the hospital together.”
Following this interview, the Los Angeles Times has reported that Lamar is now "conversational" and able to speak sentences and send text messages.
And according to E! News - the same network that produces Keeping Up With The Kardashians - the former LA Lakers star has been helped out of his bed and into a chair.
A source told the publication: "This is great progress but there is always the possibility for setbacks."
Lamar is also reportedly able to breathe on his own without a ventilator and has passed a critical swallow test.
As always, our thoughts are with Lamar Odom and his family.
