The Born This Way singer posted a make-up free snap of herself looking rather pale and gaunt. Alongside the picture she referenced her upcoming album ARTPOP, writing:
‘ARTPOP as they pry the single from my bleeding fingers. it’s a scary thing to revisit those things underneath, the pain in your past. but all I found was raw passion. I thought I was destroyed inside. I’m just ready to fight. start the music.'
Her dramatic message comes shortly after her former friend Brendan Jay Sullivan released a tell all book ‘Rivington Was Ours: Lady Gaga, The Lower East Side and the Prime of Our Lives’, revealing Gaga’s alleged pre-fame drug habit.
In the book Sullivan recalls the 27-year-old apparently telling him of her drug habit:
‘I used to do bags and bags of it.’
‘Mostly when I was getting ready to go out, while I was putting on my make-up. I’d get a delivery and then put on some Bowie and treat myself in the mirror.
‘But I only ever did it alone.’
The singer is clearly feeling at one with nature lately. As well as her make-up free snaps, she posed naked for an American magazine, keeping her lady-garden covered only with her hands.
