Now the singer's former stylist has spilled the beans on what Lady Gaga is like to work with, telling WWD he can no longer style her because of her outrageous demands.
Nicola Formichetti told the magazine: "She's going to be my BFF forever, but my ex-assistant Brandon [Maxwell] is heading that project.
"I'm always going to be involved somehow, but I cannot do it every day. She changes 12 times a day; it's insane."
Meanwhile, the quirky singer has been posing topless cradling a prosthetic arm as a teaser in the run-up to the release of her new album.
ARTPOP is due to hit the shelves in November, although the first single, Applause, will be out on August 19th.
A different track, reportedly titled Aura/Burqa, was leaked overnight and subsequently removed.
It is thought to be a rough demo of a song due to appear on the album.
Gaga has been teasing her fans with snippets of lyrics from Applause, posting on Twitter the following lyrics:
"I stand here waiting/ for you to bang the gong/ to crash the critic saying/ is it right or is it wrong? 8.19."
The Born This Way singer has been quiet of late, having been recovering from major hip surgery in February.
She told WWD that her doctor had warned her one more dance performance could leave her needing a hip replacement
"When we got all the MRIs finished, before I went to surgery, there were giant craters, a hole in my hip the size of a quarter, and the cartilage was just hanging out the other side of my hip," she added.
