Ever since he first burst into our lives on The X Factor, we’ve had a pretty intense crush on Shayne Ward.
And, now that he’s starring as Aidan Connor on Coronation Street, we’re getting a LOT more screen time with him - which isn’t doing anything to dampen our affections for him.
So, when we heard that he was on Tinder, we were (naturally) very excited.
Speaking about his decision to join the popular dating app, Shayne, 30, told the Daily Star: "Yes I’m on Tinder, it is not a fake account.
"What it is, I was having a bet with my management that I would go on it. So initially I set it up as a joke."
Initially. It was INITIALLY set up as a joke - meaning that, nowadays, he might be willing to take the dating app more seriously.
Hurray!
He continued: "I thought I'd give it a go yeah...it's quite fun.
“I’ve not been on any dates yet as I'm only two weeks into it.
"I have had quite a few matches on it though."
We don’t doubt it.
Despite enjoying the app, the actor did reveal there is one major downside to Tinder.
Yup, you guessed it; people don't believe it's him!
He said: "People don't think it is me when I'm talking to them.
“They think I am catfishing them."
So there you go; if you were recently matched up with a Shayne Ward on Tinder and assumed it was a joke, you swiped left for no good reason.
