Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has paid tribute to her son Archie in an emotional Instagram post nine years after he tragically passed away.
Kym suffered a late miscarriage in 2009 when she gave birth to her son, her first child with ex-husband Jamie Lomas, 21 weeks into the pregnancy but unfortunately lost the baby just moments later.
Sharing a photo of her shrine to Archie alongside a heart-wrenching message, Kim paid tribute to her “beautiful boy”.

She wrote: “9 years ago today our lives changed forever. Our hearts will never heal and our tears will always fall because we miss you so much. I am so proud to have been your mummy.
“I wish we were having a party today with balloons and presents. I wish I had got to see your smile and hold your hand. I wish I could kiss your face and hug you tightly. I wish I had heard your voice. I wish I had been able to pick you up when you had fallen, put plasters on your knees, dry your tears. I wish I wish I wish you were here.”
Ending with a birthday message, she wrote: “You are always in our hearts my beautiful boy. Happy birthday. We miss you and love you so very much. Have fun up there today little one Mummy loves you 💙”
The Corrie star’s friends took to the comments with messages of support, with co-star Bhavna Limbachia (aka Rana Nazir) writing: “Happy Birthday Archie 💙 You’re mummy is super duper!! Xxxx [sic].”
Kym won praise from soap fans last year after she relived her tragic experience when her character Michelle Connor gave birth to a stillborn child. She opened up about the heart-breaking scenes in an interview on Lorraine, saying: “It was a real challenge, and strange because you spend years trying to get away from it. Baby loss is still a taboo subject, it's something that people don't like to discuss. I have been there, I know how it feels to lose a child.
