The 38-year-old revealed that her son, 19, suffered a suspected heart attack and had to be rushed to hospital - telling her he was ‘so scared’ when he started feeling ill.

‘He was crying in agony and said to me “I’m so scared mum,”’

‘It was heart breaking. I haven’t seen him cry since he was little. He was so frightened and so was I, but I tried to be strong for him.’

The scary incident happened in June 2014, when David complained to mum Kym that he had a head ache and felt exhausted.

After taking him to hospital, David’s condition got worse and he struggled to get his breath.

But following a series of tests, Doctors discovered that he hadn’t had a heart attack, but did have a serious condition called myopericarditis - which is an inflammation of the heart and surrounding sac.

The condition can prove fatal, something which Kym said made her a ‘wreck.’

Kym watched her father, also named David, suffer from a heart attack when she was just 18. The traumatic event with her son brought back painful memories of this day, when she feared she would lose her father.
