Last week, 25-year-old Matt’s former flame Danni Ballard insisted she is carrying his child and that both he and Kym, 39, are refusing to acknowledge the pregnancy.

But Corrie star Kym has hit back, saying she has nothing to do with the situation but she will support Matt all the way.

Writing in her column for OK! Magazine, mum-of-three Kym said: “There are two sides to every story and whatever happened in their relationship was a long time before Matt and I even began dating.

“We all have a past and things happen, and that’s just the way it goes.”

Matt commented on Danni’s allegations, writing on Twitter that he was under the impression he was not the father of her child.

But Kym confessed that, should the situation change, she will be there for her personal trainer boyfriend.

She continued: “I will absolutely be there to support Matt whatever happens, but beyond that it’s not really any of my business!”

Although Matt is denying the baby is his, the Mirror reported that Danni is adamant.

According to the newspaper, Danni told friends: “This has been the hardest time of my life. Matt needs to face up his responsibilities – and, if he stays with Kym, she must help see that.”
