Kym Marsh has took to social media to reveal a Twitter troll has created a fake account for her six-year-old daughter
The Coronation Street star only recently revealed she took a short break from social media after receiving lots of negative comments. She explained: "When you take a break from the world of Twitter you realise it can take over your life a bit – you can become a bit obsessed with reading what everyone’s up to or people’s opinions on this and that.
"Plus, most of the time you’ll see loads of dead nice comments but then you’ll see one nasty one and that’s all you focus on," she wrote on her OK! magazine column.
Now, Kym Marsh has revealed that an online troll has not only set up a fake Twitter account for her six-year-old daughter Polly, but has also used pictures of her. On Twitter, she called out the fake profile by saying: "The fake account of my 6!!!! Year old @pollyconnor4 has BLOCKED me!!! You are using photos of my little girl you strange strange person!"
She went on to add that something ought to be done to people who pretend they are someone else on social media. She fumed: "Something needs to be done about people making fake accounts on social media!! Why would ANYONE make a fake account of a 6 year old??? Weird."
On the fake Twitter profile, there are photos of Kym's daughter and for the Twitter bio they wrote: "Daughter to @michellex45 and Jamie, sister 2 @Emilieconnor21, David, rip to my older brother Archie 💙, step sis 2 @amybarlowx34 taken by @tommymoon23."
Hundreds of Kym's followers rushed to report the fake account, with one person writing: "Just reported it for you. Very wrong indeed."
Someone else said: "wtf how weird!! What a creep x"
Another commented: "Weird to impersonate anyone let alone a child."
A fourth person added: "I have reported her. It's disgusting to steal pictures of a child 😡"

This isn't the first time the 41-year-old actress has fallen a victim of online trolls. Earlier this year she revealed on Loose Women that she was a victim of Catfish for 10 years.
She explained: "This one particular day I came home to a bunch of flowers on my doorstep at my home with a card that said 'Sorry you couldn’t make the date, hope you’re better soon' with kisses and no name. And obviously, my boyfriend was a bit like, 'What’s this about?'"
The Corrie star went on to say: "The police did find out who it was, they contacted the guy and he thought he’d been having a relationship with me for the past ten years.
"He said that originally they’d been talking over social media and then this person [the catfish] had been texting and stuff as well and claiming to be me."
Kym added: "It was really creepy… to have somebody at your home.”
