45-year-old Kylie stated that male celebrities are less likely to get criticised for such behaviour than females.
She said: “I admire people like Miley, like Rihanna, girls that are just… unapologetic about what they’re doing.”
The Voice coach said she thinks Miley is being singled out when there are so many singers doing the same thing as her.
“Is it too much? It depends on what your personal taste is. But she’s definitely a scapegoat for what might be happening in the broader sense of pop music.
“Let’s not forget, there’s always been sex, drugs and rock and roll,” she said. “But the guys seem to get away with it.”
The singer, who has about released her 12th album, admitted to sometimes feeling lonely in her line of work, following a split from boyfriend Andres Velencoso last year.
She said: “I definitely have moments when I’m quite morose. Everyone has to do it, you have to go down sometimes.
“I can feel quite lonely. My job and lifestyle is not something everyone can relate to.”
This week Kylie also took the opportunity defend the paparazzi, saying: “I don’t mind, if I am honest. If they are respectful, that’s cool. Some of them are. I don’t tarnish them all with the same brush.”
