She may be Kim Kardashian’s baby sister, but the past year has seen 18-year-old Kylie Jenner become one of the more popular Kardashian/Jenner family members.
And Kylie is all too aware of her growing star power.
In a recent interview, she offered an explanation as to why her personal app beat big sister Kim’s own website in the iTunes charts.
Kylie told TIME magazine: “Kim's older, she has a different fanbase.”
She theorised: “I invite the cameras over and say, “Oh, hey, let’s just do this.” We do make-up tutorials and I’m laughing and talking. I know my fans are my age or younger than me, so, I just like to show my personality and show my fans my home and my dogs.
“I get really personal. I’m on Snapchat, and I’m just like them at the end of the day. Kim’s more private. She has kids. It’s just different.”
But the pair aren’t rivals quite yet.
Kylie then offered up her gratefulness towards Kim, 35, for showing her the showbiz ropes.
She said: “She’s so dedicated, she’s so smart, she’s such a businesswoman, and she’s always doing something and thinking of new ideas.”
“She has inspired me to have a great work ethic.”
