The Kardashian/Jenner clan aren’t known for being frugal, and after Kylie Jenner welcomed her second child with rapper Travis Scott, 30, last week, insiders say she will spare no expense on her offspring and has already splashed over a million dollars on him.
Kylie, 24 – also mum to Stormi, four – shared a sweet black-and-white snap of her newborn son’s hand with her 309 million Instagram followers, simply captioned, “2/2/22” alongside a blue heart emoji.
In January, Kylie – who became a US billionaire aged just 19 through her cosmetics company – had enjoyed a lavish jungle-themed baby shower, decked out with opulent wooden giraffe sculptures, dozens of trees adorned with roses and candles. There was even a massage station for guests, who took home personalised gifts, including cashmere blankets embroidered with their names.
The OTT bash – hosted at her older sister Khloé Kardashian’s £27million mansion – was estimated to have cost £150,000, with Kylie also giving fans a glimpse of her lavish gifts which included a £6,000 Dior buggy and Tiffany & Co keepsakes.
And as the star settles into life as a mum of two, insiders tell Closer how the latest addition to the Jenner clan – who as we went to press had yet to be named – has been welcomed into his parents’ opulent lifestyles from day one. Here are some of the luxuries he’s set to enjoy...
His 14-strong ‘baby entourage’
Like his sister – who reportedly has four nannies costing £200,000 a year – Kylie’s son will also have his own dedicated team attending to his every whim.
In true Hollywood style, Kylie and Travis reportedly held “nanny auditions” to pick their son’s childcare team, who are bound by strict confidentiality agreements which reportedly include £10million clauses and demands to be on-call 24/7.
And sources say in addition to the eight nannies who will now be on hand for Kylie’s children, her son will also have his own round-the-clock bodyguard, driver, masseuse, stylist and two specially-trained baby nurses to ensure his every need is met.
A source says, “Kylie’s gone all-out this time round but, in her eyes, she’s worked hard enough to justify giving her kids the very best start in life.
“While she’s an extremely hands-on mum, she is also a busy career woman building an empire, so when she’s working, she wants to know that her children are being taken care of by the very best team and their safety is her number-one priority.
“Having ample staff for her little boy also means she’ll be able to spend quality time with Stormi and give her the attention she needs, knowing that the arrival of a little sibling might be difficult for her at first.
“Kylie’s also hired a live-in postnatal chef to cook her healthy, nutritious meals that are specially devised to help her body repair.”
Designer wardrobe packed with Fendi rompers & Moncler babygrows
If Stormi’s wardrobe – which includes two £10,000 Hermès handbags and £300 Gucci shoes – is anything to go by, there’s no doubt her brother will also rock a designer collection.
And insiders reveal how the latest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan already has his own £100,000-a-year stylist, with an unlimited budget to ensure he follows in the footsteps of his mini-fashionista sister.
The source says, “Kylie wants her son to be the most stylish baby in Hollywood and she knows that means having a team to curate his wardrobe. His closet is already filled with the most luxurious clothes money can buy, including £400 Fendi rompers, £250 Stella McCartney tracksuits, a £900 Moncler babygrow and Burberry shirts.
“She’s even splashed out on some pieces for when he’s older, such as a £2,000 Gucci leather jacket and a £700 silk Dolce & Gabbana suit.
“Travis is also very into style and fashion so it’s hugely important for him and Kylie that their mini-mes look the part – no matter the cost.”
A hand-crafted nursery & private baby spa
Insiders reveal how the make-up mogul has created a bespoke half-million pound nursery for her newborn with the help of her A-list interior designer, Martyn Lawrence Bullard.
Sources tell Closer how her son’s first bedroom is fit for a king, with a £25,000 limited-edition Lucite & Brass Crib, bespoke hand-crafted furniture by Italian design house Frari, and a £17,000 custom mural by Japanese artist Tomokazu Matsuyama.
In addition to the lavish nursery, pals say Kylie has had an entire wing of her mega-mansion decked-out for her newborn, which also includes a luxury baby spa, a sensory room and a playroom for him and his sister, which Kylie gave fans a glimpse of in October, showing-off the custom slides and hide-outs being created for her brood.
The source says, “Kylie loved taking Stormi to a nearby baby spa when she was younger, and with her wanting to increase her privacy, she decided to just have one built in her home.
“It’s equipped with three beautiful pools heated to the ideal temperature for newborns, and various flotation devices, as well as a massage station, a mini Reiki studio for daily sessions and a feeding room decked out with surround sound, a £12,000 custom Herman Miller nursing chair and a state-of-the-art air filtration system.
“The playroom is also no-expenses spared with its own library filled with over 600 kids’ books as well as a 34-foot-wide cinema screen and popcorn machines.”
