During a recent stand up show, controversial comedienne Joan said about North: ‘that baby is ugly... I've never seen a six-month-old so desperately in need of a waxing.’
Kris said she hadn’t heard about Joan’s cruel taunts, but defended her 7-month-old granddaughter.
She said: ‘North is beautiful and she's got such a sweet little spirit. She's the perfect child, so I adore her.’
Kim Kardashian shared a picture of North at the end of last year and was accused of waxing her daughter’s eyebrows when they appeared to be particularly neat and tidy.
Kim responded to the speculation on Twitter, writing: ‘do people really think I would wax my daughter's eyebrows so young?’
Joan Rivers tweeted about her comments, saying that they were taken out of context and expressing her fondness for the Kardashian clan.
She tweeted: ‘I'm a comic. Please stop pulling my jokes out of context. I love Kim, North and all the Kardashians. So shut up already!’
