The momager, 59, insisted that her eldest daughter is putting the children first and keeping her head up.
Speaking about 36-year-old Kourtney to Haute Living magazine, Kris said: "She's kind of my hero right now – she makes good decisions.
"She always puts her children first – and doesn't get easily ruffled. This situation has made me realise how strong she is."
Kourtney and Scott, 32, split after pictures emerged of him partying with his rumoured ex girlfriend Chloe Bartoli.
Mother-of-six Kris also spoke about her ex Caitlyn, claiming she only wants what's best for her.
She continued: "I just want everyone that I love in my family and in my life to be happy, and so my wish for Caitlyn is that she finds her joy."
Kris' comments come after Caitlyn, 65, appeared to bash her earlier this year.
Speaking during her famous Vanity Fair interview, Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce, said: "I think in a lot of ways [Kris] became less tolerant of me. Then I'd get upset and the whole relationship kind of fizzled."
