Bruce, 65, gave a tell-all interview to Diane Sawyer for ABC, during which he admitted 'yes, for all intents and purposes, I'm a woman'.
Kris, who was married to Bruce's stepdaughter Kim Kardashian for 72 days in 2011, was appeared to comment on the news.
Taking to Twitter, the basketball player said: "Man, I'm glad I got out when I did. #Gottadoyou [sic]."
His hurtful post was quickly slammed by followers, with one writing: "You're despicable."
Another said, "You're a piece of s***. Kim upgraded," and one user blasted: "Still trying to stay relevant talking about the Kardashians. How sad for you."
Bruce's 17-year-old daughter Kylie, while supportive of her father, also admitted that she initially struggled with the news.
She tweeted: "Understandingly, this has been very hard for me. You will hear what I have to say when I'm ready to but this isn't about me.
"I'm so proud of you, Dad. You are so brave. My beautiful hero."
During his highly anticipated interview, Bruce admitted that Kim Kardashian, 34, has been the most supportive of his transition, helped along by her husband Kanye West, 37.
