Until recently, Katie Price seemed to be smitten with Kris Boyson.
But appearances can be deceiving, as it wasn't long before the 40-year-old star had moved on with new man Alex Adderson - and she wasn't shy about flaunting the romance.
Kris, 29, was apparently left devastated by the split, as he now claims he was set to propose to his then-girlfriend as he believed that was what she wanted too.
"I was in love with the girl and up until last week she was down for getting married," he told the Sunday Mirror.
"We would talk about it all the time. She always said she wanted the fairytale ending and she wanted to live happily ever after."
Katie's ex revealed that he was even getting an engagement ring made for the mum-of-five at a jewellers in Hatton Garden, London.

He added, “I was ready to go and speak to her dad and ask for his permission. I think deep down she knew I was getting an engagement ring made.”
The demise of the relationship came after Katie was pictured holding hands with the 25-year-old businessman, despite being coupled up with Kris.
He claims he forgave her apologies as she denied anything happened with Alex.
"That day she was apologising and begging me to take her back," he said.
"She wanted me to give her another chance and said she had just had dinner with him."
But soon afterwards, Katie was pictured in Marbella with Alex again, yet one last time he tried to salvage the relationship.
He said, "I text her saying, ‘I’m in love with you, I want to have kids with you, we’ve got so many plans ahead’.
“But she never responded. That’s the last time I messaged her."
