The two have been hinting at tying the knot for months now, with Katie spotted visiting the wedding shop where she bought her dress for wedding number three (to Kieran Hayler, who she is still married to) and posting a bizarre ‘proposal’ to her social media.
Meanwhile, it was alleged that Kris had bought a ring for Katie back in September, before she dumped him for millionaire businessman Alex Adderson.
Now that the couple are seemingly back on track, sources have told The Sun that a proposal is imminent, and he’s already sought mum Amy’s – who was diagnosed with terminal lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis earlier this year – permission.
“Kris asked Amy for Katie's hand in marriage as he knows she's not exactly his number one fan,” said the source. “He's desperate to win her over and prove his love for her daughter and show his love is real."

"He really wants Amy's blessing and prove he can be a good husband and take care of Katie and the kids. [He] bought the ring ages ago and he's now waiting on the perfect moment to propose. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the happy news."
It’s no surprise that Kris has gone to the extra length to win Amy over, after things didn’t get off to a flying start on first meeting.
“I thought 'here we go, another young one, yet again,” she said, on My Crazy Life.
"I hoped Kate would go for an older man this time and not so soon."
