Celebrity cleaner Kim Woodburn has certainly not been having as easy time during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother.
But things took a sombre turn last night as she opened up about the devastating stillbirth that happened over 50 years ago.
Kim, 74, was just 23 when she went into labour three months early. Unmarried at the time and terrified of what her abusive parents might say or do to her, she buried the baby in a nearby park in her hometown of Liverpool.
The devastating tragedy only came to light ten years ago, when she wrote about it in her autobiography, Unbeaten, in which she described being constantly beaten by her mother. After the admission, the police opened an investigation, which she assisted with, but decided not to prosecute her.
She said: "Being an unmarried mother years ago was terribly shameful. You were a whore and a man would only marry a virgin.
"It was a very sad part of my life. I would never go back to visit the spot where is happened. That would just be too much. I couldn't do it.
"I lowered my precious boy in and wrapped the towel around him before slowly replacing the earth. The deep sadness doesn't go away."
Kim has been married to her husband Peter since 1979. They never had any children together.
She rose to fame after starring in Channel 4's How Clean is Your House? alongside Aggie MacKenzie in 2003 until 2008. She then participated in reality TV shows, such as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, a celebrity Come Dine With Me and became a regular panelist on Big Brother's Bit On The Side.
