No one expected showbiz’s loudest couple to give their firstborn son an average name like Jack or John, but Kimye still managed to surprise us when they chose the name Saint.
The name sparked a range of hilarious reactions across the internet, with the couple being accused of having a major Messiah complex.
However sources have now revealed there is a more meaningful reason behind their bold choice.
Speaking to E!News a source close to the reality star and her rapper husband explained the name was chosen due to Kim’s rocky pregnancy.
Saint was reportedly picked because it's akin to saying he is "a blessing," especially "because she had such a difficult pregnancy.”
And another source added Saint was chosen because it fits with the baby’s middle name ‘Robert’.
“One of the reasons Kim and Kanye went with the name Saint is that it goes perfectly with the middle name they chose, Robert. Kim has always considered her dad to be a saint. So Saint Robert is ideal!" an insider told Hollywood Life.
