It's the news many women fear when they meet the person they want to settle down with, but Kim was faced with the terrible news that she would not be able to conceive a child naturally.

The 34-year-old, who married rapper Kanye West earlier in 2014, said she was on the brink of having her eggs frozen when she fell pregnant with North West, against all odds.

'A few years ago, I was told I could never get pregnant,' said the star.

'Three different doctors told me the same thing, which is why I wanted to have my eggs frozen.'

North West will hopefully have a little brother or sister soon

'I was just about to do that when I found out I was pregnant with North.'

And despite being over-the-moon at her miracle baby, Kim says she and Kanye are keen to add to their brood: 'I want a boy and another girl; I want it to start happening straight away.'

'I loved being part of a huge family - and I want that for North. We'd do IVF if nothing happend, but we both want to keep trying naturally.'

Kim was pictured on Tuesday cheering up troops in Abu Dhabi, where she posed with soldiers for selfies.
