After giving birth to her second child in early December, Kim has revealed all about her experience with breastfeeding in a new post on her website, kimkardashianwest.com.

Talking about breadfeeing her almost two month old son, Saint, Kim said:

"I'm about 2 months into breastfeeding and I'm not gonna lie - it can be time-consuming."

She said, "He's my best friend."

She also confessed that her oldest child, North, 2, is not a fan of mummy’s time and attention being spent on someone else. She said:

“For some reason, North hates when I feed the baby, and she lays on my lap so Saint can't be right in front of me to eat, LOL!

“I've started to include her: Sometimes I will pump and have her feed him the bottle. That totally worked! She loved helping me, as opposed to my attention being off of her, and now she is my little helper.”

A useful tip! She also offered another tip – using a nipple shield.

“I find the baby feeds better, and it allows me to never get irritated nipples or anything because they're protected by the shield.

“The hospital suggested shields to me, since at the beginning I found nursing super painful and difficult, so I took some home and never looked back.”

This 4 am feeding really kills me. I'm like delirious □□□□□□

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star made it clear to her fans that she feels lucky to have taken to breastfeeding so well, saying that she produces so much milk that it’s taken over her mother – Kris Jenner’s – freezer.

And when it comes to feeding Saint out and about, the mum of two told her readers how, while she understands why people do it, breastfeeding in public is not for her. She explained being watched by strangers would make her feel uneasy – and it probably doesn’t help that she's got one of the most famous faces in the world!

“I still personally wouldn't breastfeed at a restaurant with a bunch of people I didn't know staring at me…. unless it was an emergency situation and I was fully covered. I would however breastfeed in front of my girlfriends. I think it's such a natural experience and I'm not shy about that."

The star said that before becoming a mother, she was shocked at seeing women breastfeed in the open, so much so that she felt the need to tweet about it.

But now she understands that as a mother you have to do whatever makes you feel comfortable, and that obviously it can be difficult to find a more intimate spot to feed your baby, especially if you have more than one child to look after.
