‘This weekend, I checked into the hospital and underwent a procedure called an external cephalic version (ECV)’ Kim wrote.

‘[This] is done manually to turn the baby from a breech position to a head-down position,’ the reality star added.

The 35-year-old, who is due to give birth this month, explained how she was given medication to relax her uterus, while three doctors worked together to turn the baby round.

Despite the procedure being relatively routine, it came with several risks - including the fact that her waters could break or her baby’s heart rate could drop.

And according to Kim, it was more painful than her experience with labour.

‘They don’t give you any pain medication, and let me tell you: This was soooooo painful. Probably more painful than childbirth,’ she wrote.

But luckily, the procedure was successful, with Kim’s baby now being in the correct position for her to give birth.

Meanwhile the star has been suffering with a sinus infection and flu as she tries to prepare for her new arrival - meaning little North, 2, has been shipped off to Auntie Kourtney’s.

‘I’m going to have North have a sleepover with her cousins for the next two days so I can really sleep and get better.’

Finger crossed it all goes well. for Kim and husband Kanye, one week to go!
