Kim Kardashian, we never had you pegged as a grill girl!
The star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has been unveiled as the new cover star for CR Fashion Book, featuring photos from a controversial shoot with Karl Lagerfeld back when she was pregnant with baby North West.
Think sitting in a field of flowers, mouth smeared all over in blood-red jam (it looks like a horror movie moment!). Think baring her seven month pregnant belly with pride. Think donning a black veil and a Yankees cap (because why not, eh?). And, most of all, think grills. Big gold grills.
We're just so not feeling this new celeb trend; it makes even the prettiest of them look like a creepy Bond villain, hellbent on world domination and biting everyone. Which makes it an interesting choice for the front cover of the CR Fashion Book themed on hope.
CR Fashion book founder and editor Carine Roitfeld explained that the images help to capture a "precious moment of Kim’s pregnancy that people haven’t seen.'"
"Pregnancy is something that I always love. It’s about hope and the future and a new baby."
And, to explain the artistic and edgy vibe of the pictures, she added: 'This is not something for a gossip magazine that goes into the trash. This is a magazine that is a collector’s item."
