The US reality TV queen has apparently been approached by the show's writer Jennifer Saunders has she prepares to take her iconic characters to the big screen.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "Kim is a huge name, and she’s in town for fashion week and loved the idea of being involved.
"Getting her on board is a massive coup for the film, but also a big deal for Kim - Absolutely Fabulous is an iconic name around the world, so it’s an honour to be part of it."
They continued: "The hype around the film will be massive and fans will be really excited at its release, so it’s looking likely to be a huge success."
If the rumours are true, 34-year-old Kim will join fellow fashionista Kate Moss on set as it was just confirmed on Friday the supermodel has too landed a part.
Saunders, who plays Edina Monsoon in the popular show, called the decision to work with Kate a 'no-brainer', telling The Mirror: "I can confirm that Kate does have a part in the forthcoming movie.
"It’s not yet decided whether she’ll have a speaking part or not, but she’ll definitely be in it."
The 57-year-old also apparently stated that Baby Spice Emma Bunton and singer Lulu will be in the movie.
Filming for the Absolutely Fabulous film, which will also see Joanna Lumley reprise her famous role as Patsy Stone, begins in the coming months with a release date expected to be early next year.
