Since her divorce from Kanye West three years ago, Kim Kardashian – who was once happy to play the rapper’s ‘muse’ – has been forced to continuously tow the line between protecting their four children and speaking out against her ex’s worsening hate speech and vile publicity stunts.
But while Kim, 44, has always defended Kanye’s behaviour following his bipolar diagnosis, a source now says the rapper’s latest sick stunt – which saw him try to sell clothing emblazoned with the Nazi symbol and launch a pro-Hitler rant on social media earlier this month – has tipped her over the edge.
And with rumours that Kanye has now split from wife Bianca Censori – after instructing her to drop her coat on the Grammys red carpet recently to expose her near-naked body – Kim is now said to fear he’ll spiral even further.
Our insider says, ‘Kim’s usual policy with Kanye’s rants is to ignore them, let the drama blow over and wait until he’s in a more sensible or balanced frame of mind before even taking his calls.
‘This situation is different. She can’t turn a blind eye anymore – Kanye hasn’t just crossed the line here, he’s stepped into utterly vile behaviour, and what’s scariest of all is that he seems to be getting worse. He’s put Kim in a no-win position that is heartbreaking for their family and making her seriously think about their co-parenting situation.’
Kim and Kanye, 47 – who share North, 11, Saint, eight, Psalm, six, and Chicago, five – were together for 10 years and married for eight before divorcing in 2022. Kanye then went on to marry Bianca Censori later that year and the pair have consistently raised eyebrows over the years for Bianca’s scantily-clad outfits – which Kanye is said to be behind – and their lewd behaviour. But last week, reports claimed the pair were heading for divorce, with Bianca – like Kim – also said to be struggling and ‘traumatised’ by Kanye’s recent slurs.
For Kim, this isn’t the first time she has been forced to address speculation and questions around Kanye’s disturbing ‘rants’.
After his anti-Semitic hate speech in 2022 – which terrifyingly saw him praise Hitler and threaten the Jewish community – Kim revealed her devastation that she had ‘lost’ the man she had married back in 2014, saying, ‘It’s really confusing for me that they are so different from the person I married, because that’s who I loved… I’ll do anything to get that person back. I’m so angry, but I’m also so sad.’
And our insider says that while Kim is desperate to ‘fix’ the situation for their children, she fears how Kanye will react.
They say, ‘Since this latest scandal blew up, Kim has been locked in talks with her team about how best to handle it. She wants to protect the kids but doesn’t want to antagonise Kanye. Kim’s been told she needs to get tough and put her foot down.’
Meanwhile, following news of their split, insiders say Bianca has finally reached the end of her tether with Kanye.
The source adds, ‘Bianca puts on a brave face but, deep down, she’s miserable in this marriage and has been for a very long time. His recent outbursts have just tipped her over the edge. Assuming Bianca does follow through with this, which seems way more likely now than it ever has, it could get very messy indeed.
‘Kim’s not surprised. She knew it was just a matter of time before Bianca finally came to her senses. She’s astonished it lasted as long as it did and just hopes it doesn’t get too toxic.’
