Kim Kardashian defends Kanye West over incident with disabled fans

Kim Kardashian has leapt to the defence of husband Kanye West after he was blasted for reportedly demanding that wheelchair bound fans ‘stand up’ during a concert in Australia.

The reality star took to her Twitter account in an attempt to silence critics.

Kim wrote: "Kanye never asked anyone in a wheel chair to stand up & the audience videos show that. He asked for everyone to stand up & dance UNLESS they were in a wheel chair. #JustWantedEveryoneToHaveAFunNight #TheMediaTwistsThings."

According to reports, the rapper told the crowd during his set: "I can't do this song, I can't do this show until everybody stand up.

"Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and s**t. Imma see you if you ain't standing up, believe me, I'm very good at that."

Kim defended her husband Kanye on Twitter

One concert-goer reported that after a disabled fan held up his prosthetic leg, Kanye ceased his demands, telling him: "OK, you’re fine".

Following the concert at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in Australia, fans took to Twitter to blast the 37-year-old.

One wrote: “Just remembered Kanye telling 2 kids in a wheelchair to stand up for an uncomfortably long amount of time. That sucked (sic).”

"WE JUST WAITING ON THEM TWO PEOPLE TO STAND UP,Oh.... they ARE in a wheelchair?? PLAY THE SONG" Lol #YEEZUS (sic),” another tweeted.

During a lengthy rant at his concert in Brisbane, Kanye addressed the incident, telling the crowd: "I’m a married, Christian man with a family. Pick another target."
